Lyrata Bambino has smaller and darker leaves than the normal Fiddle Leaf Fig. The leaves also grow closer together, giving the plant a more compact look.
These extremely popular, undemanding, houseplants is one of todays 'it' plants. They grace the pages of magazines and instagram. They prefer lots of bright filtered light and should be kept away from drafts. They grow outdoors in a sub-tropical climate and should therefore be kept indoors or on a protected patio in the Western Cape. Misting and sponging the leaves are beneficial and buttermilk or commercial leaf gloss will enhance the sheen of the leaves. Only water when the soil feels dry.
